Une journee elephantesque a Krabi!

Voila une journee bien excitante!! On est alle a un camp d'elephants et on a passe la journee avec un elephant qui avait 40 ans! Ils vivent jusqu'a 100 ans et commencent a faire des promenades a 4 ans. Ils st bien traites ds ce camp, ils font juste qq ballades par jour, compares a d'autres centres comme on peut s'imaginer...

Bref, on a commence par une promenade d'1 heure. Il fallait monter dans une cabane en haut d'un arbre pr arriver au niveau du dos de l'animal! La ballade etait dans la jungle, c'etait super. Ses jambes et pieds sont incroyablement grands et forts. Sa peau est vraiment dure et epaisse et il y a quelques poils qui sont tout durs, c'est etrange au touche cette rugueur.

Il balancait ses oreilles et me fouettait au passage pr se tenir au frais surement. C'etait bien marrant.

Ensuite on a donne a mange des ananas a l'elephant, puis on est alle dans une riviere et Mark s'est baigne pres de l'elephant, et ensuite je l'ai lave!! Le Mr ne voulait pas me donner le tuyau d'arosage mais j'ai qd meme demande! C'etait beaucoup plus marrant que de laver la voiture, je vous l'dit...

On est parti apres qq heures en se demandant si on ne devrait pas rester plus longtemps mais au moment d'entrer ds le tuk-tuk pr rentrer a l'hotel, on a entendu les elephants hurler (ou crier? comment on appelle le bruit de l'elephant??) et la on s'est dit qu'ils ns disaient au revoir. C'etait tellement fort, c'etait vraiment impressionant d'entendre en reel et pas de la TV... apres ca, on a compris qu'on avait tout eu et on est parti. C'etait vraiment une super journee!!

On a une nouveaute dans notre hotel ce soir, la salle de bain n'a pas de toit donc ce soir, ce sera douche a la belle etoile. Heureusement qu'il ne fait pas trop froid dehors car l'eau est froide...

Demain on prend le bus pour Kuala Lumpur ou on passera quelques jours avant de partir pour Bali dimanche 29 pour de nouvelles aventures! On espere enfin avoir les massages a 1 pound....

We had a fabulous day today! We went to an elephant camp and spent the day with a 40 years old elephant. We started with an hour trek. We had to climb in a tree house to reach the height of the animal! The trek was in the jungle, it was really nice. The elephant's feet and legs were so strong and massive, it was really impressive. His skin was really hard and rough with a few really hard hair, it was strange touching it. We then fed him with pinapple and went for a swim in the river. Mark even got to swim near the elephant! After that it was wash time. The caretaker didn't seem to friendly but I still asked him if I could wash the elephant. He couldn't say no and I really enjoyed myself. I can tell you, it's much more fun than washing the car! ;-)

After this, we left wondering if we had seen everything but when we got into the tuk-tuk, the elephants screamed, we took it as a goodbye! We realised that we definitely had got everything we could hope from this day. They were so loud, it was really impressive to hear it for real and not from the TV. It was really a fantastic day!!

We've got a new feature in our hotel tonight, no roof on the bathroom! Luckuly it's warm outside as the water is cold...

Tomorrow we're taking a bus to Kuala Lumpur where we'll spent a couple of days before flying to Bali for a new adventure! We hope to get the massages for 1 pound...
